Fantastic Walk & Sketch session part of Portrush Swell Festival activities, organised by Flowerfield Arts Centre.
Thankyou to everyone who came along for my latest workshop. It was a beautiful sunny October morning, perfect weather to enjoy being outdoors and sketching with other creatives. Lots of great sketches, using different techniques and materials… and having fun! I was so excited by the studies everyone made.

GLASGOW ART FAIR
Thanks to everyone who visited me at Reveal Art Fair 2023 in Glasgow, in May… especially those who stopped to chat and bought my work and shared why a certain painting had an immediate connection with them.
Landscape workshop
There is no better way to connect with a place than drawing and painting outside. This was a great en plein air workshop at East Strand, Portrush, for Flowerfield Arts Centre.
We enjoyed loose drawing exercises to get started and not get stuck trying to make a ‘perfect finished picture’… whatever that might be! i have been drawing and painting at the Barmouth beach, near Castlerock for the last four years… a favourite place to sketch with curlews and gulls on the shoreline, wind in the dunes, bleached stretches of water overhung with a changing dominant sky and the salty seaweed smells at low tide.

I showed my work at the Reveal Glasgow Art Fair, Belfast Love Your Home Art village last spring and I ended the year exhibiting for the first time with Art Source, the top Dublin Art Fair at the RDS, Dublin, an amazing experience for me.. I have previously exhibited my work at The Talented Art Fair in Truman Brewery, in London in March 2020
I was a wildcard on Sky Arts Landscape Artist of The Year 2021, and 2022,
