One of eight large pastel drawings I made after a summer spend sketching en plein air in the wild grasses that hug the beach dunes at the Barmouth Beach, near Castlerock. I loved the sense of movement and sounds made by the grasses in the wind. I used large gestural marks in pastel, paint and pencil to capture this feeling.
